3. Verification Disclaimer
TeachSA Connect provides verification services as a trust and safety tool. While we employ rigorous processes including AI analysis and human review, the following limitations apply:
- Verification is based on documents provided by users and the results of third party verification tools. We verify what is submitted, we cannot guarantee completeness of all information about a person.
- TeachSA Connect does not guarantee the absolute accuracy of verification outcomes. Verification represents a reasonable level of due diligence, not a guarantee of character, competence, or suitability.
- Automated document analysis is subject to technological limitations. Automated systems may produce false positives (flagging legitimate documents) or false negatives (failing to detect sophisticated fraud).
- Identity verification depends on data provided by official records. Accuracy is contingent on the currency and completeness of those records.
- Verification badges indicate that a reasonable verification process has been completed, they do not represent absolute certainty about a candidate's identity or credentials.
- Hiring institutions should conduct their own due diligencein addition to relying on Platform verification. TeachSA verification is a tool to assist decision making, not a substitute for an institution's own hiring processes and checks.
For full details on how verification works, see our Verification and Data Processing Consent document.
